Jeffery T. Harris, MD

Jeff Harris, M.D. received his medical degree in 1994 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He completed his internship medicine residency training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC and his residency training in Neurology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL in 1998.  The following year Dr. Harris returned to Vanderbilt University to complete his fellowship training in Vascular Neurology.

From 2013 through 2016 and working at IPC – The Hospitalist Company, he developed a seven-member neuro-hospitalist practice providing 24/7/365 facility-based neurology coverage to seven stroke certified acute hospitals. 

Dr. Harris’ primary duties included on site urgent and emergent evaluation and management of neurological emergencies and work directly with medicine hospitalist team.  In 2015, Dr. Harris was honored as the Hospitalist Newcomer of the Year by his employer (a national award)

From 2016 to 2018 based out of Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA, Dr. Harris anchored a dedicated inpatient neurology practice for HNI Healthcare where he was the lead neuro-hospitalist and Medical Director.

For the last five years, Dr. Harris is a partner and co-founder of NeuroPro of Texas, a neuro-hospitalist practice dedicated to providing 24/7/365 facility-based neurology coverage to area stroke-certified hospitals in the San Antonio, TX area.  His clinical duties include providing client facilities with total access to neurological consult services, on site urgent and emergent evaluation and management of neurological emergencies, provide fast access for complex neurological diagnoses, including administration of TPA.

Roberto A. Silva, MD

Dr. Roberto Silva has been a practicing neurologist in San Antonio, TX since 1982. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Mathematics. Dr. Silva taught junior high and high school mathematics for five years before entering medical school. In 1978, he completed medical school from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. Dr. Silva began his Neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed his training in 1982. He built his own building in an underserved area in south San Antonio. There, he had a brain CT scanner, EEG and EMG machines, and a rehab therapy clinic. After a long and tenured career as a private practicing neurologist, Dr. Silva became one of the first neuro-hospitalists in San Antonio in 2010.

From 2011 through 2018, he worked with Dr. Harris to co-develop the largest neuro-hospitalist group under the IPC – The Hospitalist Company banner, a 7-member group based out of San Antonio.  Dr. Silva’s primary duties included providing fast access to hospitalized neurological patients working directly with the medicine hospitalist team. 

Since September 2018, Dr. Silva is a partner and co-founder of NeuroPro of Texas, a neuro-hospitalist practice dedicated to providing facility-based neurology coverage to area stroke-certified hospitals in the San Antonio area. Client hospitals are provided with total access to neurology for all patients, regardless of diagnosis or patient’s ability to pay. 

Jessica Henderson, APRN, FNP-C

Jessica Henderson earned her FNP degree from United States University based out of San Diego, CA. in 2019, and became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in October of that year. 

Ms. Henderson joined NeuroPro of Texas in March of 2022, where she has quickly become a key contributor to the group and provides neurological care in area stroke-certified hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities.  In her neuro-hospitalist role, she provides and manages all aspects of neurological patient care including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments
